Phew! It's been a long 9 weeks waiting to see whether or not Ella's broken toe injury would spell the end our agility fun together. To anyone who's seen us play the game, you'll understand to lose it was a bleak prospect. Keen to give her the best possible chance I found her the best orthopedic specialists, researched the best health supplements I could find, and of course took expert advice from The SMART Clinic, our rehabilitation magicians in South Wales. But really to start with, it was wait and hope for the best.
Further to many visits back and forth to Cardiff, and strengthened by the support and love of all of you agility friends, I'm delighted to report Ella returned to competition last weekend :) Turning back to ask her if she was 'Ready?' and seeing her beautiful black and white body poised ready for action, gave me the most tremendous feeling of love and joy :)
So now I'm preparing for the autumn/ winter training schedule with renewed enthusiasm and excitement, and I'm eager to help you all achieve the same joy and satisfaction in your own training. Be you starting out on a brand-new agility journey, or climbing the heady heights towards top flight competition - the team have got something for everyone :)
Today I'm grateful for the my precious black and white best friend, who reminded me this weekend to“wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.” :)
