We teach some very special dogs and handlers at Daybreak, so picking just one dog training star and one agility star is tough! But the team and I thought we'd give it a go to honour the effort and commitment our clients show to their wonderful dogs.
February Star Dog Trainer
Mandy Reed & Loki (Rottweiler)
I first met Loki in a 1-2-1 lesson at the end of January. He's a big, goofy, friendly lad who can't understand why people aren't always as enthusiastic about meeting him as he clearly is them ;)
He has done weekly half hour 1-2-1's since then and Mandy is a brilliant student. She has always diligently done her homework and has really pushed the boundaries of Loki's training to help him better understand what she wants from him. He's a young dog and his training continues, but he definitely deserves recognition and this February’s Gold Star, plus a selection of goodies from our Shop for all the work they've both put in.
February Star Agility Trainer
Gill Lambert & Tilly (Lurcher)
This category is hotly contested as we have over 70 agility dogs that train with us throughout each week. What we're looking for is people that have gone that extra mile, or stood out for rising up to a challenge.
Gill was nominated by her Daybreak agility trainer Nicola Pilling, after a series of great lessons this month. As is often the way with Lurchers, they quite often enjoy zooming around at top speed and find concentrating hard work! So her progress this month has been brilliant - keep up the good work :) Fantastic achievement that deserves this February's Gold Star & a selection of goodies from our Shop.
